First Mass Gathering

Assalamualaikum and Hai :D !

Last week, on 11 Feb 2014 was our first mass gathering for this new semester, and new tenure. We were having this mass gathering for introducing our new line up, new main board and management members for each head and assistant head bureau and give them some talk about every bureau scope of work. Other things was about discussed our club annual activities. Then, as a result, for this upcoming Tuesday, 18 Feb 2014 we will gonna have our 1st group binding for IIUM Percussion Club for this semester ! cannot wait to having fun with you guys later :) Then, congrats for those who manage to come that night :3

For those who have a skill and talent in playing percussion, or want to learn
more how to play percussion, including management skill, and organizing programs and events, are most welcome to join our family!

ouh yes, our club is not only teach about latin percussion, but includes kompang, and traditional malay percussion, and may have collaboration with any IIUM Cultural Center.

Cultural Night for Taaruf Week Semester 2 2013/2014

Assalamualaiukum and hi !

As the opening for the new season and tenure, we, IIUM Percussion Club have collaborate with IIUM Cultural Center for the cultural night performance. The theme on that night is 'East and West' which is all of the club must perform either both or one of the theme as their performance. For IIUM Percussion club, we present both of the east and west types of rhythm. Thus, Wayang Kulit and Bertabuh are the rhythm for east while Samba Batucada is representing the west. We also show some solo performance to show the audience about the differences of east and west rhythm and instrument such as Congga, Djembe, Gendang Sunda, Gendang Dikir.

Last Year Story..

Assalamualaikum dear readers! First of all, We are sorry for not updating the blog for almost a year. Thus, for this new tenure starting from Semester 2 2013/2014 until Semester 1 2014/2015, we'll trying to stay connected to updating any information, activities and anything that will promoting our club. Since almost a year we are not sharing anything, then as a beginning of this tenure i would like to share some activities and performance back then.
