For those who have a skill and talent in playing percussion, or want to learn
more how to play percussion are most welcome to join our family!

Together, we will learn how to play percussion, organize a programmes and events, and most importantly; get to know each other and make friends. :D

After a long Time..

Assalamualaikum and hi everybody!
Sorry to all of you because not updating this blog for a long time.
Well, it quite a busy semester for us.haha

Alhamdulillah, for this semester, we performed at various events in and outside IIUM.
After Native Deen Showcase, we performed at Nusantara Theater Week, I-Fest at IIUM Kuantan, and other events collaborated with IIUM Angklung Club (Thanks Angklung Club for inviting us to play with you!)

Inshaallah we will try to update this blog frequently as possible! :D

Native Deen Showcase!

Assalamualaikum and hi everybody!

Alhamdulillah, last Saturday (25th February 2012) we had been given an opportunity to perform for opening performance with IIUM Acoustic Band and IIUM Gamelan Club for Native Deen Showcase which was held at Main Hall, Cultural Activity Center (CAC) IIUM.

All of us are quite nervous to perform during that night because this is an international event. Hence, we must avoid doing any mistakes. But Alhamdulillah, we manage to control our nervousness and the show run smoothly. =D

The performance was awesome! Native Deen are so energetic and sporting! Their three musicians are awesome too! Too bad for those who can't make it to the show. =D

1st Mass Gathering 2011/2012 Semester 2

Assalamualaikum and hello everybody~!

Alhamdulillah ,we a had our mass gathering and first training last night (21 February 2012) which was held at CAC Training Room.























Our mass gathering was started with the welcoming speech by our president, Brother Badran Saman. He introduced a new main board members which was selected during previous AGM (Annual General Meeting) last semester. Apart from that, he also explain few things regarding the training as well as several activities and program which will be conducted during this tenure 2011/2012

After our president gave a short speech, the first training of this semester began. Our advisor and trainer, Brother Aswad do some revision of rhythm that we had learnt during previous semester. Among the rhythm are samba,afro,calypso,santana,zaping,inang,afuche and bomba.

After doing some revision, we started to learn new rhythm called 'Tumbao'. Tumbao is a basic and fundamental rhythm in Latin percussion.. Hence, it is crucial for us to learnt this rhythm. There are few rhythm included in 'Tumbao Family' which are Cha Cha, Salsa and Bossa. Inshaallah we will post the snippet video of our first training session soon!

Our first meeting was ended by a short advise from our trainer,Brother Aswad. He motivate and inspired us to do a lot of practice in order to become a great percussionists. Thanks a lot Brother Aswad!! =D

Bee's Moob 2012

.Excellence of students is important in achieving International Islamic University Malaysia’s vision as there is the key element at the university. In order to attain the vision and mission of IIUM, our students need to be awakening from within to achieve excellence. Therefore, Student Affairs of Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences (KIRKHS), and all Kulliyyah Based Societies of KIRKHS is planning a week-long programme, which is "Unity Carnival 2012 (UNICAN’12)".

The programme is designed to develop students' commitment to the ideas of the relevantization of religious sciences and the integration of Human Sciences with Islamic Revealed Knowledge. This programme is implemented through several ideas on integrating the KIRKHS students from different departments. 

IIUM Percussion Club start this new semester 2 of 2011/2012 with participating in the BEE'S MOOB, which is  one of the event conducted in this UNICAN. In this 3 minutes bee's moob, BENL (Bachelor of English and Language) students entertain everyone at the business centre of IIUM accompanied by IIUM Percussion Club. We had a great time with them. Thanks for inviting us! =D
